During my daily walks on Suomenlinna Island while I was doing my residency at HIAP Suomenlinna, I started negotiating with the wind, waves, sun, trees, and birds in an attempt to strike a sort of deal with them. The deal was that in three months, during the Open Studios event, if I took some people with me to a specific spot on the island and we waited in silence, we would sense something sublime throughout the day. Personally, I was expecting to encounter a bird, so I brought a long stick with me. The duration of this piece was about 7 hours.
